Terms of Use

Fuse (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides a matching service designed to facilitate meaningful introductions. By signing up and submitting your profile, you (“user,” “you”) agree to the following Terms of Use. By submitting your profile and personal data, you explicitly consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (“PDPA”) and these Terms. Please read them carefully before using our services.

1. Eligibility

By using Fuse, you confirm that you are:

• At least 21 years old;

• Residing in Singapore;

• Providing accurate and truthful information in your profile.

Fuse reserves the right to suspend or remove any user who provides misleading or harmful information.

2. Data Collection and Use

By submitting your profile via our Google Form, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal information, including but not limited to:

PID elements in Fuse profiles

• Email address (Google Form)

• Contact number (if provided)

• Age

• University/College (if provided)

• Current occupation/industry (if provided)

• Possibly nickname (depending on uniqueness)

Non-PID elements but potentially sensitive data

• Personality and character scores

• Lifestyle and preferences

• Demographic categories (gender, religion, ethnicity, education level)

Your information will be used solely for the purposes of:

• Curating and matching profiles as part of our dating service;

• Internal demographic and behavioural analysis (only in anonymised form);

• Communicating updates or changes to the service.

We do not share your identifiable personal data with any third parties without your explicit consent, unless required by law. You may request to delete your data at any time by submitting a request via our profile deletion form.

Your data may be stored on third-party platforms, such as Google Workspace, which act as service providers. We use reputable providers and take basic measures to protect your information. However, because these platforms store data on their own servers, your data may be stored or processed outside Singapore. While we make reasonable efforts to safeguard your personal information, please note that no method of transmission or storage over the Internet is completely secure.

3. Data Retention

Your profile data will be retained only for as long as necessary to support matching efforts and anonymised demographic analysis. You may request to withdraw or delete your data at any time by submitting a request through our profile deletion form. Upon deletion, your personally identifiable data will be removed from our systems, though anonymised, non-identifiable insights may be retained for research and analysis purposes. You can also update or correct your personal data directly by accessing your Google Form submission via your registered Gmail account.

4. User Conduct & Responsibilities

By participating in Fuse, you agree to:

• Act respectfully and truthfully in your interactions;

• Use any contact information received through Fuse only for its intended purpose (getting to know your match);

• Not harass, threaten, or abuse other users in any form.

We reserve the right to suspend users who violate these principles.

5. Offline Interactions & User Safety

While Fuse facilitates introductions, we do not organise or supervise any offline meetings. If you choose to meet your match in person, you do so at your own discretion and risk. We encourage all users to read and follow our Safety Tips.

Fuse assumes no liability for any harm, loss, or dispute that may arise from interactions between users, whether online or offline.

6. Disclaimers

Fuse is a curated, experimental platform built with care and intent. However, we do not guarantee: 

• That you will be matched;

• That all users are who they claim to be;

• That any match will result in a relationship or meaningful connection.

This is a best-effort, non-commercial platform, and participation is voluntary. If monetisation is introduced in the future, we will notify users and update these Terms accordingly.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fuse and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from or related to your use of our services.

8. Amendments

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of Fuse after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and any disputes arising from your use of Fuse shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Singapore.
